Enjoyable Evening Supports Rossburn Red Cross
A Rossburn Red Cross event at the town hall on Tuesday February 24 drew large crowds from Rossburn and surrounding areas. The night began with a Whist drive across fifteen tables, followed by old and new time dances with McIntyre’s Vista orchestra. Prizes went to Miss D Mitchell and Mr C Crookshanks for whist, and to Mr H Alexander and Hamilton for the dance. Proceeds reached $66.30.

Young Boy John Kachan Dies After Mill Accident
John Kachan sixteen year old son of Mr and Mrs Nick Kachan died February 18 after an emergency operation at Grandview Hospital. He worked at Timberton Saw Mill where his hand was caught in gears. His funeral February 21 was led by Rev C Lotosky Oakburn Man with family note of four brothers and three sisters including Matt and Annie in British Columbia serving with the forces.
