Rossburn RM Holds Regular Session February 14 1977
The Rural Municipality of Rossburn met at 10 30 a m on Monday February 14 1977 in the council chamber. Reeve John Mitchell chaired with councillors Wally Peleshok Ernest Drul William Antonow and Joe Dnistiansky present. They approved last minutes financial statements December 31 1976 and December 1976 ward appropriations. Public Works funds of 9456 46 for culvert purchases were authorized. Relations included beaver damming issues and icing conditions on provincial roads 254 and 577. Parkland Development Corporation discussed funding and past operations. By law 1031 for remuneration and mileage was read passed third time. Village of Rossburn declined fire truck assistance. RM proposed continuing use of village equipment in 1977. Agreement with Manitoba Telephone Systems for buried cable near NE 15-19-23 WPM authorized.

Rossburn Lions Visit Roblin Lions Club
Eight members of the Rossburn Lions Club attended a Roblin Lions Club meeting on Tuesday March 1. The highlight was Roblin’s gavel in Rossburn possession during attempts to return it. Roblin Lions invited to Rossburn to reclaim their Lion and repay the hospitality. A stand was presented to Roblin as a charter night memento by Rossburn.

Birtle Russell Liberals Set To Elect Candidate

Angusville Flyers Sweep NCHL North Final Over Strathclair
