Obituary for Donald Alexander Menzies of Oakburn
Donald Alexander Menzies, born September 15, 1884 in Oakburn, died after a protracted illness. He was a long time Oakburn resident, worked in business as a merchant and garage operator, later employed near Dauphin before his death. Funeral services conducted by Dr P N Murry at Oakburn United Church and graveside at Aregyle Cemetery, with a large turnout. Survived by Olive Menzies. son George Ivan Menzies. daughter Mrs Viola Eden of Oakburn. daughter Mrs Twems French of Halifax. four grandchildren. three brothers Duncan T Menzies Shoal Lake, John Menzies Oakburn, Bertonzies of Winnipeg. several nephews.
