Pelly Trail Teachers and Board Reach Contract Settlement
A June 8 conciliation meeting produced a new contract for the Pelly Trail School Division. The deal includes a 3 percent salary rise from Jan 1 to Aug 1 1987 and a 1 percent rise from Sept to Dec 1987. The Special Education Allowance was removed and adoptive law legislation added to the agreement.

High winds damage farms north of Rossburn
Severe thunderstorm winds on June 16 near Rossburn damaged multiple outbuildings. Lawrence Kuzenko’s 36 by 60 cattle shed toppled, a mixmill trapped, and a grainery moved. Adolph Melnyk’s hangar roof and porch window blew out, Ron Kostesky’s 40 by 20 shelter destroyed, and Butler residence lean-to and machine shed suffered major destruction.

Rossburn Council Urges Channeling of Employee Concerns

Angusville Main Street project opens with cairn unveiling
The official opening of the Angusville Main Street project is set for Wednesday, June 24 at 2:00 p.m. Reeve Mery Dunn will officiate. MLA Leonard Derkach may attend, with ministerial representative Elsie Forrest presenting. A cairn will be unveiled including the Angusville centennial plaque from 1984 and four plaques honoring veterans, pioneers, and local councils.
