The grade 8 class recounts a two day trip from June 6 to 7 visiting Marine Life, Reptile Gardens, Rushmore Cave, Mount Rushmore, Bedrock City, Custer State Park, Rapid City, Trout Haven, Wonderland Cave, and a night in a motel. They rode the aerial tram, hiked Harney Peak, fished trout, and ended with sports and wrestling in Bedrock Campgrounds before returning.

Oakburn elevator manager earns herbicide dealer certificate
Alvin Price of United Grain Growers at Oakburn received a Herbicide Dealer Certificate after passing a 30 page open book exam on chemical weed control. The Manitoba Council of the Canadian Agricultural Chemical Association prepared the exam, endorsed by the Manitoba Department of Agriculture. He joins about 77 UGG elevator managers nationwide who hold the certificate.
