Recreation Director VAL BEDNAS notes heavy rain paused Manitoba Summer Games in Dauphin delaying events to July 10 if weather allows. Cyclists Kathy Michalchuk and Delmer Hindle expected to compete while canoeists Daryl Michalchuk and Thomas Cottingham plan to test skills. Weekend fastball results saw Oakburn Beavers lose to Rossburn 18 to 9 with a women’s win. Upcoming activities include riding club meetings, a bicycle safety course July 9-10, hayride July 14, and water skiing signups July 17-18 with extended registration sites.

Grandview Lakers slugged 12 hits and capitalized on four errors to top the home town Cardinals 9-3 at Angusville.
