Official figures from the Russell constituency show Clement moving ahead on second choices. The report notes 305 of 511 Beswatherick votes had second choices and 93 of Porter’s 723 did likewise. A fourth count used third choices from Beswatherick’s 152 second-choice ballots. Spoiled ballots totaled 52.

Vista Favors Addition To School
Vista ratepayers voted 5 to 1 in favor of adding a one room to the existing two room school at a June 4 vote. Fifty four of 768 eligible voters cast ballots, one ballot unmarked. The expansion costs about $4000 with tenders for materials and erection advertised in this issue of the Review.

National Elevator Being Remodelled at Rossburn
The National Grain Company remodels its Rossburn elevator raising it about two feet on a new foundation and installing a larger pit. The old annex and adjacent structures will be moved to form a new combined facility with about 100000 bushels capacity and electric operation replacing the diesel engine. Delivery is hoped to resume mid July under manager J VonHagen.
