MPIC filed with Manitoba Public Utilities Board on June 10 seeking a 9.7 percent basic Autopac rate increase for 1993 plus changes to accident surcharges for non owners and transaction fees. The plan would raise revenue by 33.4 million to cover higher claim costs. a $50 increase in the basic Autopac deductible for private passenger vehicles takes effect March 1, 1993.
