Rossburn council approves fire and road agreements and local funding
The June 11 meeting authorized a draft fire protection agreement with Waywayseecappo Band and first second readings for related road access by law numbers 1223 1224. Proposals to bury Manitoba Telephone System lines were conditionally approved, and Hydro pole lights to be installed at Rossman Lake Resort. The Parkland Community Futures program was supported with a plan to form a regional steering committee and fund Community Futures initiatives. Council also signed veterinary service district agreements and reviewed library fire department and planning district reports.
