Master Anglers list highlights Manitoba catches and tales
The third Master Anglers list shows Bill Desrosiers with a 4 lb 3 oz brown trout from Aikens Lake and Hugh Tyson with a 3 lb 6 oz largemouth bass from Minnewasta Lake on June 1. Bill Wangelin’s 22 lb 4 oz northern pike tops this year’s catches at Cormorant Lake, with no walleye listed. The piece blends sport summaries with musings on wildlife individuality and outdoor lore, adding cautions about fire safety amid dry conditions and a humorous sunset tale of a large rainbow taken at Neepawa Reservoir.
