June fishing was off due to heat though Duck Bay and Whiteshell areas showed promise with good bass and perch. Manitoba anglers report notable catches including a 24 lb 10 oz pike from Lake Manitoba and an 11 lb silver bass from Devils Creek, plus a large pike seen in Lake St Martin Narrows and a harrowing near-flood car incident near Fredericton.
