Travel Manitoba will overhaul the Master Angler Awards by replacing weight with length and girth as the eligibility metric. The minimums will keep roughly the same level, aiming to maintain qualifiers, while reducing harm to fish and increasing release survival rates. The plan targets more large fish released unharmed.
Defending champions in both divisions of the Oakburn Wheelbarrow Races return to defend titles. The men's team Darcy Gerelus and Darren Nahirniak and the women's team Lynne Boyce and Cindy Sullivan lead entries. Races set for June 14 at 2 00 p m with 17 men’s teams and nine women’s teams entered.
