The Rural Municipality of Rossburn council met May 28 in special session chaired by Reeve John Mitchell. Motions include awarding tenders for electrical heat at the municipal office to Rossburn Electric Ltd and road gravelling to Bicknell Construction Ltd, approving a high sanitation by law, and seeking provincial support to restore roads and waterways to prior levels. The meeting also covers fuel storage, burried cable plan, copier charges, hospital board remuneration, and other town planning actions.

4-H District Demonstration Held at Major Pratt School
The 4-H District Demonstration took place on Wednesday June 2 at Major Pratt School Russell. Seven Junior teams and two Senior teams competed with each team earning ribbons and certificates. Glu-Rite Products of Russell donated trophies to the winning teams. Junior winners Betty Lyon and Wendy Tibbits of the Binscarth Home-Ettes demonstrated Flower Power. Lori McKietiuk and Shereen Samuels were Reserve Champions.
