Rossburn Cuboree Draws Cubs From Surrounding Towns
Rossburn Fair Grounds hosted a four day Cuboree with 130 Cubs from Rossburn Vista Shoal Lake Foxwarren and Birtle. After flag break Cubmaster H Huston led the Grand Howl and events including dashes relays high jump and pole climbing. Vista won the tug of war and the trophy with Birtle a close second. Rossburn led in baseball.

John McKietiuk age 69 of Rossburn died May 29 at St. Boni face Sanatorium. Born in Ukraine January 5 1897 he came to Canada 1913, worked in Winnipeg, moved to the district 1922 and farmed. Survived by wife Dora two sons Bill and Matt one granddaughter three sisters and a brother in Ukraine. Prayers June 1 Ukrainian People’s Home Rossburn. Funeral June 2 Glen Elmo Church with interment Glen Elmo Cemetery. Rev J Melnyk officiated. Pallbearers named Rae's Funeral Home arranged.

Grandmother’s Tea Highlights Rossburn Institute Meeting
Rossburn Women's Institute met in the annex on Tuesday, June 7 for a Grandmother's Tea. Twenty seven ladies attended with poetry readings, a history talk on Rossburn for the Centennial, and prizes for oldest and newest grandmothers. A lunch was served and thanks extended to participating institutes.

Donation To Centennial Fund
The Rossburn Kindergarten held a May 31 weiner roast to close a successful year. Twelve children attended eight months of classes run by mothers with Mrs. Sylvia Brown teaching in the Town Hall basement. A monthly fee and a bingo in October raised 94 dollars for rent supplies and salary.

Mrs Tim Martin of Glenella visited her mother Mrs Halliday and Mr and Mrs Jake Gregor ash traveled home after events in Montreal and Toronto. Bob Brown and son from Saskatoon visited M Brown.
