Grandview Recycling Group gains EPF support
In Grandview Manitoba Rhonda Story and volunteers formed the Grandview Environmental Awareness Group in 1989 to collect recyclables for proper disposal. The group expanded from a church depot to a rental warehouse adding paper collection and a full time sorter with volunteer help. Environment Canada funded renovations and $1326 through the Environmental Partners Fund to aid the project. Environment Week runs June 5 to 11 and other communities are urged to explore funding options. Call 1 800 665 7135 for more information.
