Prairie Mountain Pharmacy opens in Rossburn after nine years

Prairie Mountain Pharmacy opened in Rossburn on May 30 marking nine years without a local drugstore. Owners Jay Boschman of Gladstone and Stewart of Kelowna relocated with Dean and Jacqueline Stewart to run the independent business on Main Street offering prescriptions health and beauty aids cameras toys and lottery sales with plans for homecare visits and expanded music and giftware in future.

Stefanson Increases Manitoba Builder Bond Series II Rate

Finance Minister Eric Stefanson announced Builder Bonds Series II will carry 6 3/4 percent annual interest with a guaranteed first year and a 5 1/2 percent minimum for years two through five. Bonds sell May 24 to June 11 to Manitoba residents and Manitoba based entities with a $100 minimum purchase and up to $200,000 per person. The note also covers Series I, HydroBonds rates, and the $1.5 billion raised overall by these issues.
