The Rossburn Elementary School hosts a Parent-Pitch for four to seven year olds on June 6 at 7 pm. A Dauphin workshop for Playground Leader Coordinators runs June 28 from 10 am to 4 pm at Vermillion Park with $10 preregistration. Activities include discipline, planning, crafts, safety, and first aid. Cap, T shirt, and sweatshirts pricing listed. Recreation staff searches for an assistant director and a swim instructor. swimming lessons may occur at Rossman Lake late July if an instructor is found. The Regional TEC Centre, to be run by Rossburn’s Economic Development Association, aims to offer lifelong learning open to all ages, with documentaries and lessons for seniors. A general meeting is set for June 13 at 7 pm and another RM chamber meeting on June 14 at 6:30 pm. Call 859-2627 to discuss ideas for recreation or development plans.

Rossburn residents are urged to join Westman Media Co operative Ltd to run and feature local events on the community access channel. The group trains volunteers in camera audio lighting editing producing and on air work with no training fee other than time. Area towns already using access TV include Brandon Dauphin Neepawa and Virden with Rossburn invited to participate.

Auxiliary cookbooks arriving this month
The Rossburn District Health Centre Auxiliary met on May 23 at Lady of Fatima Manor with 13 members present. Diana Lawless, Betty-Ann Slow and Shirley Kalyniuk will head the Community Calendar 1996. The Terry Fox Run is set for Sept 17 with Shirley Kalyniuk as contact. Cookbooks commemorating Manitoba 125 will arrive in June and sell for $8.00 each. The annual wind-up meeting is June 13 at 6:30 p.m. at Country Kitchen. all members welcome.
