The Angusville Cardinals defeated the Virden Oilers 4-0 in MSBL action on Sunday afternoon. Bob Chuchmuch pitched all nine innings, fanning 10 batters and securing the shutout as the Cardinals kicked off their season at home. The schedule lists Neepawa, Brandon, Grandview, and Souris as upcoming visitors in June.

On Friday May 30 twelve Rossburn Collegiate students travelled to Russell for Zone 10 Track and Field. Mary-Anne Kreshewski won Jr Girls 100 Metres Sprint and Jr Girls Long Jump. Paul Yagil nicky won Jr Boys Discus. Chris Mitchell won Jr Boys Mile. Ken Oakley won Sr Boys Two Mile. Carol Cameron won Jr Girls Discus. They advance to Swan River June 6 and 7. Rossburn placed 4th with 51 points.

A baseball clinic is set for Saturday June 14 at Rossburn High School from 9:00 AM to about 5:00 PM for Minor Baseball Association teams and girls softball, led by Dave Rottman of the Dauphin Red Birds.
