Nineteen members met May 27 at Ann Fulford’s home to discuss finances and activities. The group reported a net from Tag Day of 87.53 and 320.25 in the bank with 95.79 on hand. A high chair was bought for the Pediatric ward. Don Thompson is new administrator replacing Sid Lewis. A wedding anniversary supper for Mr. and Mrs. Jack Lindsay was approved. John Braendle a 52 year old Binsearth undertaker was nominated without opposition at a Liberal meeting in Birtle for the Birtle Russell constituency. Liberal leader R W Bobby Bend addressed about 200 supporters and outlined a four year government stance and tax and medicare premium issues.

Five leaders and eleven members of the Rossburn 4-H Sewing Club attended the 4-H Rally at Strathclair on Saturday. Janice Tokar placed second in Unit C Judging. Prizes went to Kathy Michalchuk Unit A judging Pat Radford Unit B Brenda Baubie and Marillen Brown Unit C. Elaine Tanasychuk and Kathy Michalchuk earned red ribbons in Jr Demonstrations. Kathy Michalchuk and Brenda Baubie each won a silver spoon in the dress revue.

Sherritts' 65th Anniversary Celebrated in Rossburn
An open house at the Pentecostal Manse honored Mr. and Mrs. James Sherritt on their 65th wedding anniversary. Married in 1904, they live in the Rossburn district since 1921 with three children, two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Attendees numbered 115 with flowers, telegrams from dignitaries, and guests from Estevan, Winnipeg, Brandon, Selsgirth, and other towns.
