Mr. and Mrs. Harry Yaskiw spent time with the Yaskiw family at Gimli. Art and Dora Chesney celebrated their 55th anniversary in Brandon. Lottie Stitt returned from Winnipeg after visiting Margaret Hay and others. Olive McTavish arrived home from a two week Edmonton trip with Ada Copping visiting Dennis Neufeld and Tamara Lynn. They saw friends in Ft Saskatchewan and stopped in Biggar at the home of Ray and Olive McTavish on their way home.

Enjoyable social for the Brykaliuk's Rossburn birthday and anniversary
A May 23 social at Mr and Mrs Wm Brykaliuk in Rossburn celebrated Mr Brykaliuk’s 87th birthday and the couple’s 11th anniversary with 42 family guests. The event featured pic ture taking, music from an eight track recorder, and gift presentation including a beaded Happy Anniversary keepsake. Out of town and local guests sent greetings and shared a warm reception.

Village council passes two by laws and plans sanitation bylaw
The council approved By-Law No 605 to sell land to Willis Orme Stitt and his wife Mildred with third reading. By-Law No 606 for Terry A Sherman and Viola M Sherman also received third reading. A sanitation bylaw was discussed to require debris removal at owners expense or by the municipality with costs charged to the owner. A $10 rental fee was set for the Memorial Skating Arena grill use. Council adjourned to meet again June 11, 1981 at 7:00 PM.
