The Village of Rossburn sprays new pavement on Victoria Ave West and Centennial Road with provincial grants. Parking lanes on Main Street east and Victoria Ave East also resurfaced after water main replacement. Sterling Enterprises of Grandview carried out the work.
About 600000 will support road and street upgrades in 12 rural Manitoba communities including Rossburn and Hamiota. The Infrastructure Works agreement, funded one third by federal, provincial, and local partners, aims to create about 4170 jobs and bolster industrial growth.
Parkland athletes benefit from the KidSport Fund which raises money to cover program fees and equipment. Last year seven Parkland children aged six to 18 joined in sport thanks to the fund. This year the Parkland Sport Council aims to raise awareness and recruit more participants through bingo and other events.
