Feeder Cattle Club Formed At Erickson Manitoba
The Erickson Cattle Feeder Club began June 27 with about 20 farmers at the Legion Hall. Five other clubs exist in the district: Swan River, Dauphin, Roblin, Russell, and Genella. The Erickson club elected directors, set a $3 membership fee, and approved financing terms including loans up to $10,000 and a $5,000 first loan limit. Insurance coverage and branding rules were established, with branding iron purchases and deposit requirements for livestock. Directors listed include Rudy Usick, Wendell Johnson, John Podruski, Roger Larson, Richard Paulsen, Mel McLaughlin, and Fred Christopherson.
