The Rossburn village council met July 15 in the municipal office. Mayor Earl Moffat presided with all councillors present. June minutes and the financial report were approved. A liquor license by law petition was discussed for October votes. Constables reported two traffic by law and two disorderly conduct convictions. Rest Room and Fire Hall discussions continued. A new uniform order for the constable was approved. Bills were paid and the meeting adjourned to August 19.

Rossburn Senior Baseball Club finished second at the Strathclair tournament held with the annual fair. Jack ie Kostiuk pitched for Rossburn in a 3 1 win over Oak Lake and an 8 0 shutout in the semi final. Binscarth defeated Rossburn 9 2 in the final as Bobby Carson started the mound for Rossburn.
