The 53rd Rossburn Fair and Sports Day will be held next Tuesday July 17 with a public holiday after 12:00 noon. 4-H Club Visitors Tour Brandon Rally
Loretta Hrysak hosted Rose Ellen Kordonowy from Bellfield North Dakota among 38 4-H members from the USA. They arrived by bus to Brandon where host families greeted them and took part in the Brandon Rally parade of nine clubs. A picnic at Clear Lake followed before their return trip.

It set rules on snowplowing for National Parks and approved cemetery use by St Ascension Ruthenia parish, plus a court of revision for electors lists on August 14 1962 and added three tax assessments. It adjourned to August 14 1962 at 1 pm.

Weather report and storm damage near Rossburn
A week of severe thunderstorms plagued Rossburn with damaging electrical storms and a heavy deluge. Gardens north of the fairgrounds were wrecked Friday evening as rain and hail caused crop damage in a narrow east west strip. Saturday brought 1.28 inches of rain, lifting the growing season total to 10.14 inches.
