Reverend Zakrewsky Honored at Ukrainian Catholic Parish Event
A June gathering in Rossburn marked a warm tribute to Father R. Zakrewsky, who recently arrived in Canada. The event at Town Hall featured supper by the Ukrainian Catholic Women's League, words of welcome, and gratitude from parish members and pioneers noting growth from three members in 1903 to over sixty.

Mrs Geo Chittick Dies at Russell
Margaret Jane Hamilton born 1862 in Ireland married George Chittick in 1885 and settled in Silver Creek. She died June 28 at age 56 in Russell’s Sacred Heart Hospital after a hip fracture. Survived by daughters Annie Mulligan and Margaret McKay and sons John Albert George Earl and William Hamilton. Funeral July 1 at Angusville United Church.

Last Rites Held for Rossburn Pioneer Donald Sinclair
The oldest Rossburn pioneer who came to the district in 1880 died at home on Friday June 30. He participated in the Riel Rebellion and the Geographical Survey of North-Western Manitoba and helped locate Rossburn town site. He is survived by two sons and five daughters. Funeral at Rossburn United Church July 2 conducted by Rev. Nixon. Burial in Rossburn cemetery. Pallbearers named, with honorary pallbearers listed.
