Rossburn Council Notes a $600 Yearly Hydro Rate Hike
The Rossburn council met June 18 with all members present. Hydro rep Frank Sitko outlined a new rate schedule raising street lighting costs by over $600 annually and a Hydro staffer will reside in the village by June 27. The meeting also approved a $5 plus labor fire truck fee and discussed sewer water rate increases to fund operations.

Graduation exercises for the Pelly Trail School Division No. 37 were held at Rossburn Collegiate Auditorium on Friday evening June 28. An estimated crowd over 500 attended including graduates. Valedictory delivered by Janice Tokar with numerous bursaries and scholarships awarded. Diplomas presented by P. Michalyshyn as guests and principals acknowledged.

Red Cross water safety lessons run July 22 to August 2 at Rossman Lake Beach with a four dollar per child fee. Registration occurs at lesson start on Mondays or Sundays at 2:00 p.m. if unsure of group, testing and placement by Mrs. Melnyk on Sunday July 21 at 2:00 p.m.
