Otto Elvers attended the 14th Manitoba Federation Game and Fish Convention and Banquet at Clear Lake on Friday June 26. The Tidsbury Wheil lams Trophy for Crew & Magpie Competition, won by Rossburn for the second year, was presented to Otto. In 1958 there were 920 magpies and 1445 crows destroyed, up from 419 magpies and 1005 crows in 1957.

Funeral Rites Held For Peter Topolnisky In Oakburn
Funeral services for Peter Topolnisky aged 23 were held at the Holy Eucharist church in Oakburn conducted by Rev. P. Romanyshyn. He was born July 9 1935 in Olha district and lived near Olha before working in Ontario and at the Lock City Hotel in Sault Ste. Marie. His body was found June 17 in the St Marys River and sent to Oakburn for burial with Raginski Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were Melvin Mychalyshyn Melvin Balan Stan Mychasin Mike Krysowaty John Zenchyshyn and Delmer Drozda. He leaves his parents two brothers six sisters and many relatives.
