Deer Head Competition Draws Entries in Second Annual Event
In the 1968 Deer Head Competition six entries competed. Mike Melnyk placed first with a 164 percent score, tied with Stanley Maydaniuk and John Oryniak for second at 145 percent. Orville McTavish, Floyd Cameron, and Ken Cameron followed, with notes of Melnyk’s score surpassing last year’s winner by 15 7/8 inches. The Rossburn Game and Fish Association sponsored the event. Also, square dancers gathered January 25 for a social evening and lunch, forming the Rossburns Circle 8 Square Dance Club, with the next session set for February 1 at 8:00 p.m.
