Oakburn Man Laid To Rest
Frank Woytowich died at his Oakburn home after a long illness at age thirty nine. Funeral services were held January 19 at Oakburn Greek Orthodox Church with Father Joseph Pornalchyk officiating. He had resigned as a Park Warden in Riding Mountain National Park last spring. He is survived by his wife Rose, six children, parents, five sisters and four brothers.

Doreen Hume to be Guest Artist on Northern Electric Hour
Canadian soprano Doreen Hume, winner of a 1948 Opportunity Knocks award, will perform on the Northern Electric Hour Monday January 31. She will sing selections from Rossini The Barber of Seville and The Fortune Teller by Victor Herbert with conductor Paul Sherman leading the concert orchestra. The CBC Trans Canada network broadcasts the program weekly.
