From this date on no patients will be attended to at my residence. In emergencies call 14 56 or 58 or take the patient directly to the hospital or office. Dr. J. G. L. Johnson.
Local residents recount holiday visits and travels across Manitoba and nearby provinces. Families from Rossburn, Elphinstone, Shoal Lake, and Brandon gather with kin in Winnipeg, Dauphin, Gimli, and Oakner. Births, marriages, and skating plans anchor the season update.
Two Rossburn rinks faced Shoal Lake teams at Rossburn on December 27 with wins by Lauman over Cormack and Major over Hamilton. Return games at Shoal Lake on January 3 saw Cormack defeat Lauman and Dellar, Major defeat Jenkins, but Major then lose to Lauman. Nor man Major’s rink: Jack Lindsay, Walter Armstrong, J. G. Stitt. Cormack’s rink: Wes Williamson, D. K. Whyte, Bert Mitchell. At Shoal Lake O. Hodge stood in for D. Whyte.
The Rossburn Hospital Aid sponsors a bonspiel on January 16 17 and 18 with two competitions and prizes in each. Entry fee is 1.00 per person. Club members are entered unless they withdraw by 12 noon Tuesday January 15. Non members must notify Mrs Robt Still by the same date. Daytime play only. evening schedule remains unchanged.
The Rossburn Local of the Manitoba Farmer's Union will convene Friday January eleventh at 8:30 p.m. in the Club Room. Delegates Report, Financial Statement, and election of officers will be on the agenda. Attend.
Mrs Albert Chesney expresses gratitude to neighbors and friends for kindness and help during her mother's illness.
Mr and Mrs Bert Palmer express gratitude to friends in Rossburn for a gift received before leaving. They note their appreciation and sign off from Flin Flon.
