The Rossburn Game and Fish Association met February 18 with ten members. Finances show 1600 dollars from the derby wildlife tickets cook books and rainbow trout sales. A June 14 1987 fish derby is planned and a float will enter the Mardi Gras parade.
Rossburn Ukrainian Cultural Centre participants toured to Gimli Manitoba on February 7 for a variety concert comprising the choir tsymbally students and three one act plays. The trip supported Ukrainian Pioneer centennial celebrations amid rough winter roads and warm hospitality from local hosts Buck and Anne Matiowsky.
A special meeting of the Rural Municipality of Rossburn presided by Reeve John Mitchell decided to advertise by tender land parcels acquired for taxes. Closing date for tenders is 5:00 PM May 8, 1987. No increase in the 1987 budget contribution to Rossburn Silver Creek Recreation Commission. Mrs. Marie Elke of Rossburn was elected to the Board of Directors of the Manitoba Association of Community Arts Councils at the annual general meeting in Winnipeg on January 17. She represents the Parkland area on the board. The group’s officers are president Mrs. Ann Hanks of Baldur vice president Mrs. Marlene Siatecki of Neepawa secretary Mr. James Robinson of Dauphin and treasurer Mr. Graham Asmundson of Winnipeg.
