Stitt Honored For Eighteen Years As Rossburn Mayor
Mr and Mrs J G Stitt were honored on Friday February 17 as the Village Council and citizens presented him with an engraved mantel clock. Mayor Earl Moffat read an address praising Stitts years of service and the sacrifices of his wife Mrs Stitt. Stitt reflected on achievements and envisioned Rossburn growing into a town or city. A bouquet was given to Mrs Stitt as part of the recognition.

Last Rites Held for Mr. Fred Malaniuk
Funeral services for 81 year old Fred Malaniuk were held at the Rossburn Greek Catholic Church with Rev. Olynik officiating. Interment followed at the Greek Catholic cemetery north of Rossburn. Survived by his wife, four sons Matt Mike Harry Alec, four daughters and many grandchildren.
