Barbara and Mike Yaskiw express gratitude to all the ladies for the nice and useful baby gifts received at the shower for their son.
Mrs. John Ryzytylo expresses gratitude to friends and neighbors for gifts flowers cards and kindness shown during her recent operation and stay in Winnipeg General Hospital.
Henry Hrubeniuk thanks friends and relatives who visited him as a patient at Russell hospital and those who sent cards letters gifts and fruit He also extends a special thanks to the doctors nurses and Sisters at the Russell hospital.
A note expresses gratitude for support after a recent loss, thanking Mr and Mrs Mike Livetsky and others for hosting a party at their home. Special thanks are extended to several couples for making the gathering possible. The message closes with appreciation from Mr and Mrs Matt Kaban and family.
Flying Farmers held a fly-in at Fishing Lake Manitoba with about 16 airplanes and 50 attendees. Planes arrived from Elgin Carman Dauphin and Melita while host Alex Cleland showcased cottages and guests enjoyed prepped fish as Mrs. Cleland is this year’s Manitoba Flying Farmers queen.
Mrs. R J Alexander returns home after two weeks in Winnipeg. Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Pete Skolney of St Catharines Ontario on the birth of a baby girl on Feb 11. Clarence Lazaruk and Sam Hrycak of Winnipeg spent the weekend at home. Betty Ann Clubley of Portage spent the weekend with her parents. Bill Mitchell joined C Elvers and Keith to Swan River while Keith heads to Snow Lake. Mr and Mrs J Cleaver of Winnipeg visited district relatives. Mrs J Ryszytyl returned home after three weeks in Winnipeg General hospital. A speedy recovery is wished by all.
Notice to members asks to leave pass books at the Credit Union Office for the annual audit and to have dividends and interest rebates credited. Manager Mrs. Nancy Andrew signs the notice.
Mrs Wes Williamson and family visited Selkirk and Winnipeg while Jim Cleaver and family visited in town. A newborn son David John arrived Feb 17 at Rossburn hospital for Andrew Matiowsky and Cecelia Koscielny. Bereavement sympathy extended to the Ternovetsky family. A fundraising party at the Livetsky home raised varied donations for the Kaban family who lost their home in a fire. Donations listed from many local residents plus friends from Winnipeg and area.
