Manitoba Co-op keeps two cheese plants open in Manitoba

Manitoba Dairy Co-operative announces only two rural cheese plants will close, not four as earlier stated. The Rossburn and Pilot Mound facilities will shut due to high cheese-milk prices hurting inter-provincial profits, while Dauphin and Winkler stay open to serve the Manitoba market. About 25 workers are to be laid off as production halves. Downey Attacks Government Over Dairy Plant Closures

Zoria Ensemble to Perform at Vesnyanka Festival in Brandon
