At the Rossburn Pastoral charge annual meeting a Memorial Fund was approved to allow donations in memory of loved ones. Donations will be recorded in a memorial book with receipts for tax purposes. Possible uses include hymn books, furniture, and church covers.

Manitoba municipal work program spurs gains for winter
The Manitoba government pays full wage costs for unemploy ed workers on approved winter projects in all municipalities and districts. By February 11, 63 municipalities filed for $3.42 million in projects totaling 2,531 workers, with $2 million in labor costs covered as grants. The council met February 9 with full attendance and approved grants of 260 dollars to organizations. A Brandon Keystone Centre request was not approved while Angusville Figure Skating Club was tabled. Appointments were made to Weed Control and Parkland boards, road work discussed, and large pipes ordered. Snow accounts and December January totals were approved. Seminar in Brandon March 3 4 urged. Fifteen Rossburn Hospital Auxiliary members met January 26 at Vi McKietiuk’s home. Officers presided, minutes approved, and treasurer Rose Stefanuk reported a 340 dollar balance. A postponed decision on the year’s project followed discussion. funds for dental clinics were discussed and a plan to donate 15 dollars per clinic was noted.
