Rural Council Sets Patrol Operating Rates
The Rural Municipality of Rossburn council met February 8 1972 with Reeve John Mitchell. They adopted minutes for January 11 1972 and approved financial reports through Dec 31 1971 and Jan 31 1972. They set patrol and snowplowing rates for 1972 and approved wage increases for patrol operators, plus a $50 Red Cross grant and tax sale redemption. Rossburn Hospital Auxiliary Meeting
The January meeting of the Rossburn Hospital Auxiliary was held in the Board Room at the hospital on Feb. 1 with fifteen members answering the roll call. The meeting opened with a prayer. Minutes of the previous meeting were adopted. The treasurer's report was given. Purchasing committee suggested more showcase articles. A motion to cater to the Rossburn Credit Union supper on Feb. 15 was approved. Sonia Melnyk reported from the Manitoba Health Conference. The Hospital Board report was given. A humidifier for the hospital was proposed. Hostess prize donated by Vi McKietiuk and won by Jessie Caldwell. Jean Cleland adjourned the meeting.

Silver Creek Approves Lotteries and Waste By law
At the Rural Municipality of Silver Creek monthly meeting two by laws were passed licensing lotteries and regulating cleaning and waste disposal at Silver Beach. Farmers may opt out of predator control by leaving their names at the municipal office. Grants totaling $260 to various organizations were approved along with snowplowing credit of $800 and receivable accounts of $84. January accounts of $4,770.34 were approved. Next meeting is March 14 at 1:00 PM.
