Mime program encourages imagination by Heidi Hunter

Heidi Hunter, a trained mime singer and dancer, presented at Rossburn Etary School last week for kindergarten to grade eight students. As a founder of Canadian Content Theatre and director of Sound Off, she leads workshops that explore storytelling, characterization, and nonverbal communication through mime and drama games.

FCL delegates to meet in Saskatoon for 63rd annual meeting

More than 500 delegates from western Canada travel to Saskatoon for the Federated Co-operatives Ltd meeting week of March 2. The 63rd gathering features a theme on co operatives bringing Canadians together and includes keynote addresses by Vern Leland and Wayne Thompson. Net savings total 87.4 million on 1.54 billion in sales with an 83.7 million patronage allocation and a 64 million payment to member co operatives. The program covers motions, sessions, social events, and Canada’s 125th anniversary observances.
