Credit Union Directors Meet in Rossburn
The Rossburn Credit Union Society board met February 7 at 8 15 p m to plan the 17th annual meeting. Ten new members raised total membership to 543. Nineteen loans totaling 8125 were approved since the January meeting. Interest rates on seasonal assets fell to 10 percent from 12 percent as of February 1. Deposit interest set at 4 percent for 1966. Supper tickets available from board members or office by February 14. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Community Recreation Council Planned by Local Groups
A preliminary meeting at the school on Feb 7 gathered representatives from several local organizations to discuss forming a Community Recreational Council to coordinate programs and qualify for grants from the Fitness and Amateur Sport branch of the Department of Welfare. A follow up meeting is scheduled for next Monday with a Dept representative to explain operations.
