Two obituaries from Manitoba record the January deaths of George Odaisky 77 of Rossburn and Rose Mychasiw 46 of the Marco district. Odaisky, born 1888 in Bukowina, left behind Irene and four sons plus nine grandchildren. prayers were said January 7 at Cropo and burial at Brookside. Mychasiw, born 1919, survived by husband John, three sons, one daughter, two grandchildren, and siblings. services held January 25–26 at Olha Ukr Catholic Church and parish hall.

Rossburn Women’s Institute February Meeting Recap
The Rossburn Women’s Institute met February 1 at 3:00 pm at Mrs. How ard Alexander’s home. They opened with O Canada and the Creed, paid 1966 fees, and discussed Rossburn history for the Tweedsmuir competition. Beryl Williamson and Bert Mitchell led social time. slides covered Northern Ireland including Belfast and the Titanic. Lunch was served by Mrs. Cormack and Mrs. Walter Armstrong. Mizpah Benediction concluded. The March meeting is set for March 1 at 3 pm at Mrs. Mc Intosh’s home.

Shower honors Lorraine Andrew at United Church event
Miss Lorraine Andrew was guest of honor at a miscellan eous shower held recently in the United Church annex. Norma Andrew managed the guest book and corsages were given to Lorraine, her mother Mrs J D Andrew and her aunt Mrs C Elvers. Colleen Major read the address. Gifts were given by Colleen Major and Pat Matusko. Lorraine expressed thanks and a light lunch was served by the hostesses.
