The Sandy Lake Home Economics Club met on December 4 to plan a Christmas visit to the Sandy Lake Home for the Aged on December 8 and their Annual Christmas party. Members invited a neighboring club and sang carols while distributing gifts. A December 30 officers workshop in Basswood was attended by seven members.

Rossburn Golf Club Annual Meeting Reports and Elections
The Rossburn Golf Club held its annual meeting with reports showing a cash balance of 41.39 and a secretary treasurer credit of 37.00. Frank Bird spoke as guest, presented a 5.00 cheque for the largest pickerel at Fishing Lake in 1963, and proposals included absorbing golf club affairs by a single body. Members debated golf course operation and resort integration, and officers were nominated including Ed Shust as President and John Magdaniuk as Vice President.
