A full house of youngsters enjoyed a Rossburn Lions Christmas party at the town hall on Saturday. Carol singing by Rossburn Collegiate Choir, films, balloons, and a jovial Santa Claus distributing treats followed the cheerful program.

Ukrainian Catholic Church annual meeting on new build progress
With the new Ukrainian Catholic Church nearing completion the four year old Building Committee was dissolved at the annual meeting on Sunday December 19. A new Church Committee Executive was elected with Rev John Lehky as President Nick Maryniuk as 1st Vice President Peter Wiadyka as 2nd Vice President Nick Stupinsky as Recording Secretary and Peter Macyshyn as Treasurer. Mike Antonin named Coordinator of fundraising committees. Advisory members include Harry Werbowski William Hryciuk and Sam Pachkowsky. The financial report showed reduced liabilities and plans to liquify the balance next year. The church has been open for services a year and basement improvements for meetings are planned.
