Soldier Ukrainetz Receives Two Promotions at Camp Utopia
Bdr. P. Ukrainetz stationed at Camp Utopia in New Brunswick recently earned two army promotions within two months and now wears two stripes on his sleeve. He underwent an ankle operation but is expected to recover soon.

Busy Women Quilt Crews Weave Ukraine Aid
A group of Ukrainian women have quilted eight pieces in a short span. Two were completed at Mrs. Nataro’s house, last Thursday at Mrs. Semeniuk’s, and on Monday the 13th at Mrs. Kiez’s. The activity blends social chatter with stitching.

Passing of W Huculak
Rossburn obituary for Wasyl Huculak aged 73 who died at Rossburn Hospital on Sunday evening December 12. Born December 25, 1880 he emigrated from West Ukraine and lived in Manitoba for the past forty years. The funeral was held at the Ukrainian Catholic Church on Thursday December 16.
