National Farmers Union Annual Meeting in Winnipeg

A crowded Winnipeg hall hosts about 75 tables and 10 people per table as farmers from British Columbia to the Maritimes discuss issues. The crowd votes unanimously to urge Prime Minister Trudeau to appoint the Department of Agriculture to run the Wheat Board and replace Otto Lang as Minister of Justice.

Rossburn Rural Council opens with new slate and agenda

The Rossburn Rural Municipality holds its first meeting in Council Chambers on November 14 1973 with Reeve Mitchell and re elected Councillors Drul Derlago and Peleshok present. Motions adopt minutes. Office closure November 19 23 to attend UMA convention. Delegations from Waywayseecappo Band discuss mutual issues. Funding approved for St Johns Ambulance Children’s Aid. Interim audit report adopted. Bank account for Rossman Lake Resort to be opened January 1 1974.
