Canadian Forces Merit Award Given to Warrant Officer Danyleyko
Chief Warrant Officer Andrew Danyleyko of Rossburn Manitoba and CFB Calgary Alberta was invested by Governor General Roland Michener as a member of the Order of Military Merit for outstanding service as regimental sergeant major at the Combat Arms School CFB Gagetown New Brunswick. Clear Lake Oversnow Trail Reopens in Riding Mountain Park
The Clear Lake section of oversnow trail No 1 in Riding Mountain National Park is open for oversnow vehicles from December 6 1973. Trail No 3 from Whirlpool River to Pacey Lake remains closed due to open water. Wardens will enforce regulations with fines up to 500 and six months jail. snowmobiles may be seized pending charges. The Oakburn Ladies Curling Club elected officers at the annual meeting on Tuesday November 27 with 20 members present. Phyllis Tutkaluk was named president Darlene Lucyshen vice president Marge Waytowich secretary Evelyn Polony treasurer. The treasurer reported cash on hand of 1014 08 and the 1972 73 year was very successful with nine ladies rinks drawn up. A bonspiel is planned for February with lunches arranged by members.
