The Rosslurn Agricultural Society met December 7 to nominate a new president after George Lawless Ed resigned. Ed Shust was elected president. They plan a Valentine Dance and a Bingo in the New Year. Ward Three councillor nominations included Dmytro M. Glushka Mike Kozun and Mike Pawiak. Glushka withdrew, leaving a two way race for December 17.

The WA and WMS held a joint meeting on Tuesday December 1 with good attendance. The devotional candlelighting service preceded the business session. Funeral Service For late Locke
Funeral services were held at Rossburn United Church for Clare N. Locke aged 61 who died December 8 in Brandon General Hospital. T Ferguson and Roset officiated, Jack Cormack sang, and Mrs. Harry Aylwin played organ. Locke, born November 30, 1895 in Shoal Lake, lived in Rossburn 40 years and worked in garages, survived by widow Margaret, three daughters and seven grandchildren, two brothers. Pallbearers listed.
