Mrs A Joiner returned home Friday night after three weeks in Winnipeg. W Pidlubny made a business trip to Winnipeg last week. Mrs Dave Cleland and her young daughter left Thursday morning by train for Wog to join Dave employed there. Ann Kodlesky works at Paisner's Tea Room in Rossburn.
In Swan River the Local Option referendum failed at the municipal election held Saturday November 22 as beer sale in the hotel declined by nearly three to one.

A memo from the North-West Line Elevators Association to Canada’s wheat committee and Wartime Prices and Trade Board urges raising the wheat price ceiling from 823 to at least 1.0234 dollars per bushel, with a case for 1.3534 dollars. The statement notes decades of distress from low wheat prices since 1930 and references the government price control policy announced October 18.
