In June 1888 the author travels by foot to Rossburn with R R Ross Sr and recalls a supper at Sam Warnock's before a two week visit in the East. Two years later he becomes pastor of the Rossburn circuit serving multiple communities and noting early mixed services between Presbyterians and Methodists in the old schoolhouse before the church is built.

Hazel Loretta Woods daughter of Mrs. Gertrude Woods and Rev. James Arthur Barker of Eastend Sask were married at the Berean Assembly 600 Burnell Street Winnipeg on November 20 at 6 30 P M. The ceremony was conducted by Rev Gordon F Pierce with music by Mrs Beatrice Barrs and John Blankman. The bride wore a satin gown with veil and pearls and was attended by Alma Dohms. Following the ceremony a reception was held at Rev and Mrs Gordon F Pierce’s home and a Rossburn open reception preceded the wedding trip to Eastend.
