Campbell Family Reunion Brings Campbells Together in Calgary

The Campbell family gathered in Calgary to visit their father at Calgary General Hospital. Saturday evening they enjoyed a turkey dinner hosted at Ken and Lorraine's home with relatives including Mrs. Wm Campbell of Calgary and numerous Campbells from Edmonton Winnipeg Island Ladner and Beach Grove among attendees. Mr and Mrs Murdock Campbell travelled from Ladner to join the visit arriving August 28.

Anton Swereda 75 3 months dies at Shoal Lake Hospital

Anton Swereda aged 75 years 3 months died Monday at Shoal Lake Hospital. Born in Austria 1887 he came to Canada at age 12 with parents. He married Jessie Kaskin in 1914 at St Michael's Greek Catholic Olha and buried there 48 years later. He resided in Oakburn past two and a half years after farming in the district. Survived by wife ten children in Winnipeg Regina Sask Fort William and Shoal Lake and sisters. Funeral August 2 in Greek Catholic church Olha with pallbearers his six sons Peter Matt Michael Walter Stanley Melvin.
