Tender set on No 21 Highway in Manitoba
Manitoba's new highway program this summer saw tender openings in July for ten bridges including a 166 foot Pembina river crossing on Pilot Mound Neelin road. Eight grading contracts were awarded with a top bid of $126,419.50. John Lysenko and Geo Griffith submitted the winning bid of $89,322.25 for Contract No 1017 Grading No 21 Shoal Lake to Oakburn 8.7 miles.

Angussville Community Holiday Notices and Weddings
Last week Mrs Rosie Zink and her daughter Agnes visited from Winnipeg to holiday at the old home farm and at Nick Kloons. Several families from Dryden and White Rock visited, with a Silver Beach picnic and supper at Kukura's in Russell. A wedding was celebrated for Cecelia Hamilton and Henry Boryskiewich, and Betty Naherniak's wedding was announced for August 20. Others traveled to Fort William and Toronto for visits and federation meetings while relatives extended holiday greetings.
