Dave Stieb Birthday Ties Jays Charity Event at Club One

The Toronto Blue Jays wore roses for Dave Stieb’s 28th birthday as the 65 Roses charity chapter hosted a fundraiser at Club One. Bill Caudill Gary Lavelle and Angels star Bobby Grich attended with Paul Godfrey praising Stieb for leading the effort. Marilyn Lastman presented a rose hat and gifting moment, while Stieb joked about wearing it off the mound.

Lennox Bell Lodge aids rural patients at Winnipeg Health Centre

The Lennox Bell Lodge at 60 Pearl Street Winnipeg operated for over a year as a joint project of Health Sciences Centre and the Canadian Cancer Society Manitoba. Fifth floor lodging connects to all treatment facilities via an underground tunnel with volunteer hosts on duty weekdays and select evenings.

Recreation news highlights from Lorne Johnston office

Lorne Johnston returns to the office as the playground program runs successfully. Last week Rossburn and Angusville children toured the Garment Factory and School on the Waywayseecappo Reserve. Friday’s movie Freaky Friday shows at 10:00 A.M. in Angusville and 1:00 P.M. in Rossburn. Efforts to set up recreation flag football continue. call the office to join. Summer students have been a great asset to the communities this season.
